Fix MBR – Operating system not found
Note: This is when Linux overwrites the Master Boot Record (when installing Linux on Windows).
2. Click on “Repair your computer":
3. The installer will scan your PC for previous Windows installations:
4. Click on Command Prompt
5. Enter the following command on one line:
EXTENDING SYSTEM (C: DRIVE) PARTITION
Whenever I start my computer, I find that the system partition do not have enough free disk space and prompts the following information:
You are running out of disk space on SYSTEM (C:), To free space on this drive by deleting old or unnecessary files, click here…
In this case, I have deleted the unwanted files but couldn't make any sense since deleting of such small files could only increase few MBs. Finally, I googled and got one software called Partition Assistant Home Edition.
And therein I have downloaded (...download this>>>) Partition Assistant Home Edition
and installed the software. After installing, I have activated the program as follows:
1. Launch Aomei Partition Assistant.
2. Select D: to be reduced. Right-click D: and choose the "Resize" menu option.
3. You can shrink the D: partition in a popped-up dialog box. Position the mouse pointer on the left circle. Drag the circle to the left in order to reduce the D: partition size when the mouse pointer changes to a double-headed arrow.
4. Click OK to return to Partition Assistant Main Window. Then there is an unallocated space on the right side of C: partition.
5. In the Main Window, click the C: partition, and position the mouse pointer on the right circle of C: partition. Drag the circle to the right to increase the size of C: dirve when the pointer changes to a double-headed arrow.
6. This two operations will be added to "Pending Operations", you need to click the "Apply" on toolbar to execute the tasks.
7. After click "Apply", this will pop up the following dialog box. You can click "Proceed" button to confirm these operations. (Note: If some applications are running on the partitions operated, when click "Proceed", Partition Assistant will prompt you that the computer needs to be restarted to realize these operations.)
8. After click "Procced", all operations will be processed immediately. Below is a progress bar. You will receive a finish message when the tasks are completed.
I am deeply indebted to AOMEI Technology for your kind reference.
